Through the guarantee program all tripods or components are thoroughly inspected. Any worn out or broken parts are replaced with new parts or whole components. The only noticeable difference between a Recon unit and a brand new factory Original Tripod is that the leg coating is not changed when we reuse any leg tubing.**

All of our tripods are built tough and can handle quite a bit of use. But if for some reason your Recon unit becomes damaged, any unit can be repaired.

**All Recon units are subject to availability. Returned units are branded after inspected and reconditioned. Leg tubing on Recon units may show some scratches, they may be slightly shorter but not more than 1/2 inch in overall height of the complete tripod, and the color shade or pattern may vary a little bit on these tripods. Recon tripods are only available periodically and are not available in locations where our Original Tripods may be sold. So if they are not out of stock, then we have at least one ready to ship!
